3rd K.R. Ramamani Memorial Taxation Moot Court Competition 2013
Late Shri. K.R. Ramamani was a legal giant in the field of taxation and was well known throughout India, especially in the south, for his legal acumen and expertise in the field of taxation. In a fitting tribute, the TNDALU School of Excellence in association with S.A.P.R. Advocates has decided to start a national level taxation moot court competition. The aim of this Moot Court Competition is to be a high-quality event focused on taxation.
Date: 2nd - 3rd March, 2013
Venue: School of Excellence in Law, Dr. Ambedkar University of Law, Chennai
This event will be graced by Sitting and Retired Justices of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the Hon'ble Madras High Court, Members of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal as well as leading legal luminaries, chartered accountants and of course law students and faculty.
Team Composition:
- Participation is restricted to bona-fide undergraduate students of law, accountancy, commerce and taxation.
- Only one team from each participating college shall be registered for the competition. Each team shall comprise of three members (two Speakers and one Researcher).
Registration:
- Registration of the teams for the competition shall be done by email, on or before 22nd February, 2013. The Institutions should additionally confirm participation of the institution by email on or before 22nd February, 2013.
- Upon receipt of email confirmation from us, please confirm your participation by post/email along with the Travel Details and a Registration Fee of Rs. 1000/- (for Indian students) and $100 U.S (for foreign students).
- The registration fee is to be paid in favour of "The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai 600 028" by Demand Draft of Rs.1,000/- in the case of Indian students and by Cheque (or cash payable at time of registration) of USD 100 in the case of foreign students.
- The registration would be restricted to 30 teams only and is strictly on 'first come first serve basis.'

- No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted after the receipt of the Registration Form, except at the sole discretion of the Organisers.
Hospitality:
Accommodation and other facilities will be provided to the aforesaid members of a team, only for the dates on which competition is held. One team will be provided with one room only.
