GLC MUN Society brings together students, professionals with a similar vision - binding the world together. The conference provide platform to all young diplomats who wish to enhance their knowledge of international affairs and politics. GLCMUN's main objective is to familiarize the students with the concept and basics of a united nation conference, over all development and open gates for many new opportunities. This here is a humble attempt to bring together students from various colleges and schools to witness and participate in an educational conference to help enhance their knowledge and help them to understanding the working of the United Nations.

Prospects:
The previous year conferences saw participation of a number of Students, Ambassadors, Consul Generals and other diplomats including a number of high ranking officials from the Government and otherwise. Taking lead from the past conferences and the enormous response from students, diplomats and bureaucrats, GLCMUN Conference has become one of the largest and most anticipated conferences of the nation. Resultant of which, the Society has decided to go international.

The conference this year would focus on the Indian Subcontinent and South Asian Nations. Thematically opening the conference for all SAARC Nations, the conference would be a part of the International Relations and Diplomacy Conclave which would include interactive sessions with a lot of Ministers, Diplomats and Bureaucrats from India and abroad. This year, the conference would include events like Diplomacy over Tea, the Leadership Luncheon and the Presidential Breakfast along with the Diplomacy Socials like the Delegate Dance and the Delegate Ball.

Research and Documentation Centre:
Other features of the conference this year would be the Research and Documentation Centre allowing delegates to browse through research and position papers along with high speed internet and printing facilities.

Environmental Policy and Social Ventures Programme:
Also, the conference this year would adopt a strict Environmental Policy, eliminating the use of plastic and utilizing waste paper as far as possible. For this, the Society has adopted a no file and no plastic policy also. Another feature of the conference would be the Social Ventures Programme, wherein the participants can sign up for various Social Ventures to bring to real life, their ideas as proposed in the resolutions. The Ventures would take special care about the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG 's.)

Themes:
This fifth edition of GLCMUN will not only raise the standards high but will cross all boundaries of brainpower. This year's vision is to bring together all young diplomats from across the globe to work on some major issue while keeping intact our 'service to humanity' and 'going green' motto. Our vision isn't hypothetical because once believed we hold the power to make the belief is believed. This edition of GLCMUN will witness intense brain storming session towards shaping a better future for tomorrow. Like someone truly said, 'they're afraid not to leave this world, but to leave it in this condition for the generations to come.' Why not join hands to make this edition of GLCMUN 2012-2013 a success.
