Lawgging 2012 - The Blogging Competition
The Law and Technology Committee of National Law School of India University, Bangalore is organizing Lawgging, the blogging competition from 3rd - 25th September, 2012.
Themes:
Lawgging 2012 is going to focus on the theme Openness and Accessibility on the Internet. There are two categories under which the entries can be submitted: Legal and Fiction.
- Legal:
This article has to target a legal issue related to the theme and the blogger may give his own views which should be supported by appropriate authorities such as statutes, case-law, law reports, etc. (Some examples of issues which the blogger can target are the most debated SOPA, PIPA and cold storage; Intermediaries Guidelines, 2011 or the blogger may choose to remark on the Google Books case. Time to flaunt your lawyerly skills!).
- Fiction:
The blogger is free to use his imagination and can weave a story which should depict the theme and present the views of the author. (You can set it in an imaginary world or you can make things happen in this one. Unleash your imagination and blog about how Openness and Accessibility on the Internet should function according to you.)
Submission Guidelines:
The blogger must email the link to his blog to ltech.nls@gmail.com by 25th September, 2012 (11:59 PM).
The subject of the email should be "Lawgging Competition: Category under which submission is being made". The email must, in addition to the link and category under which submission is being made, contain the Name of the blogger, Name of the blog, College Name, Year and Contact Number.
