The Commonwealth Moot Court Competition 2010-2011
The National Rounds for India are being conducted by the School of Excellence in Law, the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University, Chennai from 19th November - 21st November, 2010 in collaboration with CLEA Prof. (Dr). S. Sivakumar, Research Professor, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi and President CLEA Asia-India who is also the Coordinator of the CLEA Regional Mooting (National and Commonwealth Rounds). The Winning Teams of the National Rounds shall participate in the Final Rounds of the Commonwealth Moot to be held in Hyderabad, India. The National Rounds will be held in four stages, that is Preliminary, Quarter Final, Semi-Final and Final.
Team Composition and Eligibility:
Each team shall consist of Two Counsels and One Researcher. Each team shall submit Twelve (12) copies of the Memorials, six (6) each for the Applicant and the Respondent respectively, and one copy on CD shall be submitted to the Organizing Committee, of SOEL the by November 14, 2010.
Registration:
All participating teams shall register themselves by midnight on 29th October, 2010, by sending the completed registration form attached herewith. The participating teams are required to send intimation of their participation via e-mail to mcasoel@mail.com confirming their participation latest by 22nd October 2010.
Accommodation:
The team of Three (3) participants shall be provided accommodation by the University for the duration of the competition only. However, the interested students are required to inform, the Organizing Committee, through their Registration Form, so as to enable them to make necessary arrangements.
Dress Code:
Strict adherence to the Dress Code is required. The teams are required to be properly attired for the rounds. The participants are required to wear 'Black Trousers / Skirts' and 'White Shirt', 'Black Blazers' and 'Black Neck Tie'.
