Online Certificate Course on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an important tool to inform decision makers, regulators and stakeholders, about the possible environmental and related socio-economic impact of the proposed project. To be effective, it requires the active involvement of all concerned stakeholders. A working knowledge of EIA is necessary for any individual who wishes to foray into environment and related sectors.
This online certificate course is designed to introduce the concept of EIA and offers a detailed analysis of its procedure and related practices. The learning that students will achieve from this course will come from structured materials that form the basic modules and case studies which will enable students to understand and analyze the practical aspects of EIA.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate/Postgraduate students, who wish to work in the field of environment;
- Law students interested in environmental laws and related policies;
- Professionals working in environmental organizations;
- Researchers/Academicians who are interested in gaining knowledge about the EIA procedure and related regulations in India.
Course Information:
The Online Certificate course on EIA is a 6 weeks course containing 4 modules, 4 assessments and a final assessment session. Applicants will be awarded with a grade on their certificate on the basis of their performance in the assessments. The Course will commence from 18th June and will conclude on 31st July (approx 6 weeks).
Registration:
The course is offered for 100 candidates on 'First-Come' Basis. The last date for registration is 20th May, 2012.
