Uttarakhand Technical University - Common Law Admission Test (Date Extended)
UTU - Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun for admissions to their UG and PG programmes - B.A /B.B.A LL.B (5 years), LL.B (3 years) & LL.M (2 years). The list of participating Colleges are as follows:

- Shakuntala Law College, Dehradun
- Selaqui Law College, Dehradun
B.A LL.B, B.B.A LL.B Programme (5 Years):
To be eligible to appear in UTU-CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40 in case of SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.
Age of candidate should not be more than 20 years in case of General candidates (22 years in case of SC/ST) as on 1st July, 2012. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.
LL.B. Programme (3 years):
To be eligible for appearing in UTU-CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a Graduate Degree from a recognised University with not less than 45% marks in aggregate for General Category (40% in case of SC/ST).
Age of candidate should not be more than 30 years in case of General candidates (35 years in case of SC/ST) as on 1st July, 2012. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.
LL.M Programme:
To be eligible for appearing in UTU-CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST).
Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.
Date Extended:
In view of students demand, the UTU CLAT examination-2012 scheduled to be held on 20-05-2012 has been postponed to 24-06-2012 (Sunday). The last date for submission of examination form has also been extended from 05-05-2012 to 05-06-2012. The details of center with the Roll number shall be intimated to the prospective candidates on their e-mail in between 10-06-2012 to 15-06-2012. Other terms & conditions remains the same.
Date of Test: 24th June, 2012 (Sunday - 3:00PM to 5:00 PM)
Application Forms:
Duly filled application form along with necessary documents as mentioned in the application form to The Convener, CLAT-2012 either in person or through registered post to the following address. The address for sending the filled in forms is: Registrar UTU, Government Girls Polytechnic, Chandanwari, Siddhowwala, Prem Nagar, Dehradun - 248007
Candidates applying on downloaded application forms must enclose Demand Draft of Rs.1500/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST) in favour of "Finance Controller UTU" payable at Dehradun. Candidates applying online should have a Demand Draft of Rs.1500/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST) in favour of "Finance Controller UTU" payable at Dehradun ready before starting the procedure.
