University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University - Admission 2026

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to 5 year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), 3 year LL.B., 1 year LL.M. and 3 year Ph.D. in Law programme at University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University for the academic year 2026-27.

Courses Offered:

  • B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 year Integrated Programme
  • B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 year Integrated Programme
  • B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 year Integrated Programme
  • LL.B. - 3 year Programme
  • LL.M. - 1 year Programme
  • Ph.D. in Law - 3 year Programme

Eligibility:

B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) / B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) / B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 year Integrated Programme:

  • 10+2 with atleast 55% marks in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council in the aggregate.

LL.B. - 3 year Programme:

  • Recognized Bachelor degree in any discipline with atleast 50% marks in qualifying exams from recognized Indian / Foreign University.

LL.M. - 1 year Programme:

  • Recognized Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) with atleast 50% marks from a recognized Board / University.

Ph.D. in Law - 3 year Programme:

  • A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree programme after a 3-year bachelor's degree programme or equivalent in the relevant master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or 5.5 CGPA on 10-pointer scale to qualifying CU-Ph.D. Entrance Test followed by Interview. OR
  • A candidate who has completed a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or 7.5 CGPA on 10-pointer scale to qualifying CU-Ph.D. Entrance Test followed by Interview. (A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS)).

Note: Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF) examination/ valid GATE or GPAT scorecard or passed M.Phil. Programme (in Regular mode only) are exempted from CU-Ph.D. Entrance Test.

Online Mode:

  • Visit CUCET website- https://cucet.cuchd.in for registration.
  • Register on CUCET registration page and create your profile.
  • After successful registration, confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
  • Once registered, pay registration fee of Rs.1000/- which includes the digital copy of the prospectus.
  • Fill your current qualification with school name & subjects and choose CUCET exam date available in drop down.
  • Appear in CUCET examination on the scheduled date and time through https://cucet.cuchd.in with your registered login details.
  • Result will be intimated through E-mail and will also be displayed on https://cucet.cuchd.in in your login account.

Offline Mode:

  • Visit CUCET website- https://cucet.cuchd.in for registration.
  • Register on CUCET registration page and create your profile.
  • After successful registration, confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
  • Scratch the CUCET form and fill the unique number given on the form in the option available on website.
  • Fill your current qualification with school name & subjects and choose CUCET exam date available in drop down.
  • Appear in CUCET examination on the scheduled date and time through https://cucet.cuchd.in with your registered login details.
  • Result will be intimated through E-mail and will also be displayed on https://cucet.cuchd.in in your login account.
