Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar - Online Centralized Counseling for admission in BA L.LB/ BA L.LB (Hons) - 5 year & L.LB - 3 year courses
As per Punjab Government Notification No. 13/10/2010-6 Edu.1/1195 dated 31-05-2010, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar invites online application forms for counselling for selection of candidates for admission to 5 years B.A. LL.B/ B.A. LL.B (Hons.) course in the Colleges situated in Punjab and affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Panjab University, Chandigarh & Punjabi University, Patiala and 12 seats of Punjab Resident Civil category in Army Institute of Law, Mohali.
Submission of application forms: July 2 to July 9, 2010.
For this, the candidates are required to visit the site www.gndu.ac.in or www.punjablawadmissions.org. The merit list prepared on the basis of particulars submitted by the candidates will be available on the above site on July 13, 2010. Each Candidate shall deposit counseling fee in any branch of State Bank of Patiala after taking out a print of deposit slip: (i) Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Candidates: Rs. 500 each. (ii) Other Candidates (Other than SC/ST): Rs. 1000 each.
Discrepancy in the merit if any may be reported on the email-id: law5yr2010@yahoo.com by July 15, 2010. The schedule for registration and college choice filling shall be notified later. No application form submitted by post/by hand will be accepted and the candidature of such candidates for centralized counseling will stand automatically rejected. Such candidates will have no claim whatsoever.
Educational Qualifications for Admission to B.A.LL.B:
For Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar: 10+2 examination of PSEB or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates). The candidate should not have completed the age of 20 years (22 years in case of SC/ST and Backward classes) on First July, 2010.
For Punjabi University, Patiala: 10+2 examination of PSEB or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala with at least 45% marks. In case of SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates, at least 40% marks. He/She should not have completed the age of 20 years (22 years in case of SC/ST and other Backward classes) on First July, 2010.
Educational Qualifications for Admission to Five Years B.A.LL.B. (Hons):
For Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar: 10+2 examination of PSEB or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the University with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates). The candidate should not have completed the age of 20 years (22 years in case of SC/ST and Backward classes) on First July, 2010.
For Panjab University, Chandigarh: (i) 10+2 examination of Punjab or Haryana Board of School Education/ CBSE/ICSE or any other Board/University recognized as equivalent to it with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST). The candidate must not be above 20 years of age (22 years in case of SC/ST) as on First August, 2010.
Educational Qualifications for Admission to Three Years L.L.B:
For Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar: Bachelor degree of GNDU or a degree recognized as equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST candidates). The candidates should not have completed the age of 30 years (35 years in case of SC/ST and Backward classes) on First July, 2010.
For Punjabi University, Patiala: Graduation/Post Graduation in any faculty from Punjabi University, Patiala or any equivalent examination from any other statutory University by securing at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates).
For
Panjab University,Chandigarh: A Bachelor's degree in any faculty of Punjab University or any other University recognized as equivalent to corresponding degree of the University with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST candidates). Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor's degree of the University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate through Modern Indian Languages (Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi/Gurmukhi Script) and or in a classical language (Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic) the aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of aggregate marks that he/she had secured at the language examination, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together. OR A Master's degree in any subject from the Panjab University or any other University recognized as equivalent to it.
