International Conference on Exploring the Linkages between Drug Usage and Criminal Victimization
The Conference will be held on 8th - 10th March, 2012 and is for both International and National Participants. Academics and Students across the social sciences and in health and social care, including those in the field of criminology, law, psychology, social work, sociology, from India and abroad and NGOs, working in this sector and representatives from Indian agencies such as NISD, NCB,NIB, MOSJ & E and MHA can attend this conference.
Registration:
The Registration fee for attending the conference is Rs. 1000 per delegate, which includes Conference Material, lunch and dinner. There is no separate registration fees for students and students also have to pay Rs.1000/-. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance or cancellations. You may however, opt to send another delegate in your place, and inform NCDCV organizers accordingly.
Call for Papers:
Papers are invited both from International and National Participants. Papers can be submitted by interested persons on the various key focal areas mentioned below.

- Drugs, Victimization, Adolescence and Youth
- Breaking the Cycle: the Role of Enforcement Agencies

- Drugs, Victimization and civil society
- Calibrating Policies towards prevention
- The Future of Drugs and Crime victimization
Papers to this conference are classified in to three types. 1. Theme papers, 2. Poster Presentations and, 3. Young Scholars Panel (below age 30).
1. Theme Papers:
An extended Abstract of 1500 words should be sent as an MS word Attachment to the Organizing Secretary at msudoccj@gmail.com. The extended abstract must include, the cover page, the Title, Authors' Names, Email, Mobile Number and Institutional Affiliation. The extended abstract should clearly state the problem and the related arguments and a definite conclusion. The last date for the extended abstract submission is 20th February 2012 (Date Extended) (Only email submissions will be allowed, Hard copy submissions will not be processed).
2. Poster Presentations:
For the Poster Presentations, an Abstract of 300 words or less should be sent as an MS word Attachment to the Organizing Secretary at msudoccj@gmail.com. The abstract must include, in the cover page, the Title, Authors' Names, Email, Mobile Number and Institutional Affiliation. The abstract should clearly state the problem and the related arguments and a definite conclusion. The last date for the abstract submission is 20th February 2012 (Date Extended) (Only email submissions will be allowed, Hard copy submissions will not be processed). During the Conference, posters should be brought to the venue by the poster presenters. Poster space will be provided by DOCCJ in the designated meeting room. Your place among the poster boards will be indicated by the number listed next to your paper in the Conference Program, e.g., A-1, A-2, etc. Participants should plan to place their materials on the space during the sixty minutes immediately preceding the hour when the poster session is scheduled.
3. Young Scholars' Panel:
The INCDCV organizing Committee invites young scholars (below age 30) to present at the Young scholars Panel, on the key focal areas of the conference. The presentations can be empirical or theoretical papers, for which awards will be given, to motivate academic activity.
Intimation about the selection of extended abstracts of Young Scholars' Panel will be sent on 25th February 2012, through the conference web site / email.
Travel and Accommodation:
Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. However, there is a possibility for funding of TA/DA for selected presenters. Registered participants have to take care of their own accommodation. However, if they need any assistance in getting accommodation we can help them.
