3rd All India Bar Examination results published; Next exam May/June 2012
The Bar Council of India successfully conducted the third All India Bar Examination in twenty-nine cities across the country on 8th January, 2012. The AIBE was also conducted for the candidates from Chennai who were unable to undertake the previous AIBEs.
According to the BCI, 14,740 passed (or 63 per cent) of whom 23,452 appeared for the exam which is 6 percent lower than the pass rate of the previous bar exam of August 2011.
The AIBE will be held on fixed dates from next academic year onwards so that candidates are aware of the schedule in advance. In the interim, an AIBE will be held in May/June 2012 and the date for the next AIBE will be intimated shortly. The fixed dates for the AIBE from next academic year onwards will be intimated by March 31, 2012.
