The Fourth NUJS-Herbert Smith National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition
As a part of its Indian University Support Initiative, Herbert Smith LLP in association with the WB National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) is delighted to present the fourth edition of the NUJS Herbert Smith National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition.
Date: 10th - 12th February, 2012
Venue: WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata
Eligibility:
All students enrolled on a full-time or part-time basis in either a 3-year LLB course or a 5-year integrated BA. LLB [or similar] course at the time of the competition are eligible to compete in the Competition, on being sent an invite. Each college or University may enter one team.
The competition, which is on an invitation-only basis, will be held on 10th, 11th and 12th February, 2012 at the NUJS campus in Kolkata. As previously, the moot problem this year is based on the commercial laws of India with a strong international element. Although the forum for the moot problem is the High Court of Judicature at Madras, India, the problem will be based on concepts which have an international character. This competition will be conducted in accordance with the NUJS Moot Court Rules.
Teams shall mail Written Submissions by speed post or registered mail. The hard-copy written submissions must reach NUJS latest by 5th February, 2012. The Written Submission in soft copy must be identical to the hard copy of the Written Submission.
Teams that fail to mail Written Submissions on time will be penalized. Equipment failure or problems, including computer disk failure, will not be considered an excuse for improper formatting or late mailing of Written Submissions.
Teams must also send one soft copy of the Written Submissions as an email attachment by 1st February, 2012, 11.59 pm to nujsmcs@gmail.com
