The medium of Entrance Examination will be English/Hindi. For any information, except that relating to the Entrance Examination, the candidates should personally contact the Department of Law/Academic Branch of the University. In LL.B. (Hons) 3 Yrs. course (Morning & Evening), semester system has been introduced w.e.f. 2009-10 as per BCI Guidelines. No student will be given option to opt for Annual Scheme of Examination under any circumstances.

A candidate whose result of the qualifying examination is not declared upto the 19.6.210 may apply mentioning "result awaited". However, he is required to produce the proof of Pass Certificate/ mark List with required marks at the time of counseling, failing which the candidature will be cancelled. Those candidates who do not appear in the Entrance Examination shall not be considered for admission. No admission will be permitted after the last date of admissions announced by the University. Application form and OMR Application Form must be filled in by the candidate in his own handwriting. All photographs must be attested by a Gazetted Officer or Head of Educational Institution not below the Senior Secondary School and duly pasted on the form at the time of submission, failing which the application may be rejected.

LL.B 3year (Hons) for Morning Classes:
Admission test is open to a candidate who has passed Bachelor/Master's Degree Examination or an Examination recognized by M.D. University, Rohtak as equivalent thereto securing at least 45% marks in aggregate. It will be 40% in case of candidates of SC/ST categories

LL.B 3year (Hons) for Evening Classes:
Admission test is open to a candidate who has passed Bachelor/Master's Degree Examination or an Examination recognized by M.D. University Rohtak as equivalent there to securing at least 45% marks in aggregate. It will be 40% in case of candidates of SC/ST categories. LL.B. (Hons.) evening course is meant for employees working within 45 kms from the Faculty of Law, MDU, Rohtak. The candidates for LL.B (Hons) 3 year evening course will have to submit a certificate from their employer/ Head of the Institution/ organization/ Depts. That the employee will be spared for attending the LL.B (Hons.) evening classes of the Faculty of Law, M.D.University, Rohtak from 5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. daily for six days in a week.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM A copy of the Prospectus containing Application form, OMR Application Form and other details for LL.B. (Hons.) 3 year course (Morning & Evening) Entrance Examination can be obtained from the In charge (Publications), Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak or Institute of Law and Management Studies, Gurgaon or National Institute of Law, Faridabad or MDU PG Regional Centre Rewari or BS Anangpuria Law College, Village Alampur, Ballabhgarh -Sohna Road, Faridabad or Smt. Shanti Devi Law College Rewari or Chhotu Ram Institute of Law, Rohtak, in person on cash payment of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only.)

The prospectus can also be obtained by post from the Incharge (Publications) M.D. University, Rohtak on a written request accompanied by a Crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 550/- (Rs. 175/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) in favour of the Finance Officer, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak payable at State Bank of India, M.D. University, Rohtak (Code 4734). A request in this regard must reach the University at least seven days before the last date of submission of Application Form. Payment by Cheque, Money order or in any other form will not be accepted. Prospectus, application form and OMR application form can also be down-loaded from the University website www.mdurohtak.com and should be accompanied with a bank draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, MDU, Rohtak and payable at Rohtak for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only). Application form, (in duplicate) and OMR Application Form complete in all respects, must reach the Asstt. Registrar (Results-II) latest by 17.5.2010 upto 5.00 P.M. Postal delay will not be treated as an excuse for condonation of delay.
The final cut off date for admission is 14.8.2010.The classes will commence from 16.7.2010.

Pattern of Examination:
(i) General English 25 Marks
(ii) General Hindi 25 Marks
(iii)General Knowledge 50 Marks
The General Knowledge area will cover the following fields of knowledge:-
(1) Current Events of National and International Importance;
(2) General Science;
(3) History of India;
(4) Geography; and
(5) Indian Polity and Economy
