About the Workshop:
A career in academia is one of the most lucrative professions open to law students. Students who find themselves interested in exploring the in-depth details of a concerned subject and having a penchant for research often find this a suitable career path. To present forth a narrative of working in academia first-hand, IDIA Assam Chapter is hosting this workshop to help us put our thoughts and ideas into action.
The principal objective of the Workshop is for the students to better understand the nuances of a career in academia, and to make them informed about the various compartments in academia, besides UGC-NET and how they can land a profession of their interest, especially abroad.
The Workshop will include (not limited to) the following:
- Early Research Career in Academia: An Overview
- How to begin preparing and how to enter into Academics in a step-by-step manner (Ph.D. centric)
- How to apply for Ph.D. in the UK
- How to secure an Academic Funding
- Question and Answer Session
Eligibility:
Open to all with an interest in law and research. Students who are interested in participating must register by paying a minimum of INR 90 at the payment information shown below.

- Workshop Meeting Link and Joining Information shall be emailed to all participants one day before the event.
- Participants will be added to a WhatsApp Group to ensure smooth communication.
- Certificates of Participation shall be issued subject to attendance throughout the Workshop.
