About the Seminar:
Social values are a set of moral principles defined by society dynamics, institutions, traditions and cultural beliefs. These values are implicit guidelines that provide orientation to individuals and corporations to conduct themselves properly within a social system. Funders, non-profit executives and policymakers are very enthusiastic about measuring social value. Alas, they cannot agree on what it is, let alone how to assess it. Their main obstacle is assuming that social value is objective, fixed and stable. When people approach social value as subjective, malleable and variable, they create better metrics to capture it. Social value is the quantification of the relative importance that people place on the changes they experience in their lives. Some, but not all of this value is captured in market prices. It is important to consider and measure this social value from the perspective of those affected by an organization's work. Examples of social value might be the value we experience from increasing our confidence, or from living next to a community park. These things are important to us, but are not commonly expressed or measured in the same way that financial value is. At Social Value UK, we believe that social value has a huge potential to help us change the way we understand the world around us, and make decisions about where to invest resources. By changing the way we account for value, we believe that we will end up with a world with more equality and a more sustainable environment.

Call for Papers:

• Papers are invited from teachers of Universities and Colleges, Scientists and Research Scholars for this Seminar. Papers may be presented in English or Hindi. Abstract of paper should be not more than 250 words.
• Full article should not exceed 3,000 words including figures and tables. Both abstract and full paper should be typed in English (MS Word, Arial font, font size 12) or in Hindi (MS Word, Kruti Dev 010 font, font size 14) on A4 size paper.
• Abstract and full paper may be mailed or sent in soft copy on Email: isdr.ranchi@yahoo.com or isdr.ranchi@gmail.com

Paper Presentation:
Selected papers will be given an opportunity for oral presentation. Teachers from different colleges and Universities and Research scholars are invited for only oral presentation (10 minutes time) in English or Hindi only.
