Eligibility:
B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) / B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) - 5 year Integrated Programme:
- Eligibility for the programme is a pass in the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in any stream with minimum of 45% (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences) from any recognised Board in India.
- Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2022 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
LL.M. - 1 year Programme:
- Candidates who have passed Undergraduate degree LL.B. (3 or 5 year courses) with a minimum aggregate of 50% and above, from any recognised University in India or abroad and recognised by UGC / AIU, are eligible to apply.
- Students appearing for their final degree examinations in March-May 2022 are also eligible to apply (Applicants who are in the last year of their studies in LL.B. (3 or 5 year courses) should have secured 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of Undergraduate Examinations conducted so far).
Ph.D. in Law - 1 year programme:
- CHRIST follows University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D / Degrees) Regulations, 2016 and the subsequent Amendments.
- The minimum eligibility of candidates intending to pursue a doctoral programme is a pass with a minimum of 55% in the postgraduate programme in the discipline / specialization. Students who have completed their post-graduation from an International University must submit an equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Every candidate has to take the Ph.D. Entrance Examination and Interview. However, as per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Degrees) Regulations, 2016 (#5.1), those who qualify UGC- NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil Programme shall be exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Examination. Those candidates take a Research Skill Assessment Test along with their Personal Interview.
Note: Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE/ Teacher Fellowship holder (KSET, SET etc.) or have passed M.Phil Programme may apply for Ph.D. any time of the year by sending their Research Proposal and CV to phd@christuniversity.in
