Faculty of Law, University of Delhi Admission Notification

LL.B./LL.M. Admission Schedule 2010-11:
The Entrance Tests for admission to First Year of LLB (Three Year Course) and LLM for the year 2010-11 will be held in Delhi.

LL.B: The Faculty of Law has presently three Centres for LL.B. students: Campus Law Centre where classes are held from 8.30 a.m.; Law Centre -I where classes are held in the afternoon (3.00 p.m.-6.00 p.m.) and in the evening (6.15 p.m.-9.15 p.m.) and Law Centre-II where classes are held from 6.15 p.m.-9.15 p.m. The Campus Law Centre and Law Centre-I are located at the Faculty of Law (North Campus), Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007 and Law Centre-II in A.R.S.D. College Building, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi-110 021.
The LL.B. Entrance Test 2010 will be held at various Centres located in Delhi from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon on Sunday, 30 May 2010.

Eligibility: For General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them. However, the cut off marks for admission of OBC candidates shall be upto 10% less than the marks notified for general candidates in the Entrance Test. The candidates securing marks prescribed above or appearing in the qualifying Degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are eligible to appear in the LL.B. Entrance Test 2010 but the admission will depend on their securing the minimum prescribed eligibility marks.

LL.M: LL.M. Two-year Degree Course is a full-time course meant for those who are not employed or engaged in any trade, profession, business or occupation. At the time of admission to LL.M. Two-year course, the student shall submit an affidavit in the prescribed form to the effect that he/she is not employed or engaged in any other work. LL.M. Three-year course is meant for all.

Eligibility: LLB degree (3 year/ 5 year course) with 50% marks for General & OBC candidates. Relaxation of up to 5% marks for PH and 45% marks for SC/ST/CW candidates. The candidates securing marks prescribed above or appearing in the LL.B. Degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are eligible to appear in the LL.M. Entrance Test 2010 but the admission will depend on their securing the minimum prescribed eligibility marks.

Sale of Bulletin of Information & Application Form for LL.B./LL.M. Entrance Test, 2010 Monday, 05 April 2010 to Monday, 17 May 2010. The LL.M. Entrance Test 2010 will be held at Delhi from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon on Saturday, 05 June 2010.

From the Counter: By Bank Draft of Rs. 700.00 (Rs. 250.00 for SC/ST candidates) from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
By Post: Bank Draft of Rs. 750.00 (Rs. 300 for SC/ST candidates) to be sent to Convenor, Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 latest upto 03.05.2010.
E-Form: Application Form may be downloaded from website http:/www.du.ac.in. Bank Draft of Rs.700.00 (Rs. 250.00 for SC/ST) should be attached along with the Application. The bank draft should be drawn in favor of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi/New Delhi.

Deposit of Application Form at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi: 05 April 2010 to 17 May 2010
Last date for submission of Application Form Monday, 17 May 2010: 5.00 p.m.
Issue of Duplicate Admission Ticket: LL.B. 29 May 2010
(In case of non-receipt of original): LL.M. 04 June 2010

Date of LL.B. Entrance Test Sunday, 30 May2010
Date of LL.M. Entrance Test Saturday, 05 June 2010
Result of LL.B. /LL.M. Entrance Test Within one week of the Test

Counseling For Ll.M. Admissions:
The admissions to LL.M. First Year Course 2010 shall be made on Saturday, 19 June 2010 at 10.00 a.m. The candidates offered admission shall have to deposit fee on 21, 22 and 23 June 2010. A candidate who does not attend counselling for LL.B./LL.M. admissions as per the above schedule shall forfeit his/her right to admission.

Note : The counselling shall be as per merit in the concerned category subject to availability of seats.
