Availability of Prospectus and Application Form:
The Prospectus and Application Form for the Test is available for sale w.e.f. 17.3.2010 (Wednesday) by hand as well as by post.
On payment of Rs.1700/- (Rs.850/- in case of SC/ST), in cash, from the following Post Offices: Chandigarh (Sector - 14,15,17,20, 36,47 and Manimajra), Amritsar (Court Road, Head Post Office), Abohar (Old Court Road), Delhi (Gole Post Office, Cannaught Place), Dharamshala (The Mall), Ferozepur Cantt. (Head Post Office), Hoshiarpur (Near District Courts), Kurukshetra (Near Railway Station), Ludhiana (Bharat Nagar Chowk), Mohali (Sector-55), Muktsar (MDG), Panchkula (Sector-8), Sangrur (Head Post Office, Near Ghantaghar), Shimla (GPO, The Mall).

To the Manager, Publication Bureau, P.U., Sector-14, Chandigarh by sending a Bank Draft of Rs.1780/- (Rs.930/- for SC/ST) in favour of the REGISTRAR, PANJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH Payable at Chandigarh. For this the request must reach the Manager, Publication Bureau, P.U., Chandigarh 160014 by 01.04.2010 (Thursday).
The candidate should pass 10+2 Examination of Punjab or Haryana Board of School Education CBSE/ICSE or any other Board/University recognized as equivalent to it with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST) . The candidate must not be above 20 years of age as on 1st August of the year in which admission is sought to the First Semester (22 years in case of SC/ST). The admission shall be on the merit of Entrance test and 10 + 2 marks. No candidate shall be eligible for admission to B.A.LL.B (Hons.) Ist Semester unless he/she appears in the entrance test of the relevant year of admission. A student who falls short of lectures in the Ist Semester shall be eligible for admission again through the entrance test provided he/she fulfils all other eligibility conditions.
The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in the Common Entrance Test, as this institution has been de-recognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The candidates having compartment in 10+2 examination held in March-2010 will not be eligible for admission in the course. The candidates who do not appear in CET or who do not qualify CET shall not be considered for admission.
General Rules for the Test:
For B.A.LL.B. (Honours) Five year Integrated Course; there will be one objective type question paper entitled 'Legal and General Awareness'. The paper will consist of 100 questions of one mark each. Of these, 60 questions will be of testing General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 20 for testing Aptitude for Law, 10 for testing Mental Ability and the rest 10 questions to test Proficiency in English Language. Total time allocated to this paper will be 90 minutes. The Question Papers will be available in English, Hindi and Punjabi (except for the portion "proficiency in English Language"). However, the medium of instruction in teaching and semester examination will be English only.

Date of Entrance Test: 23.05.2010 (Sunday)
Date of Declaration of result: 31st May to 4th June
The result shall be available on Panjab University website http://www.results.puchd.ac.in and in the Enquiry Office of Panjab University,Chandigarh.
