'Consumer Assistio' as the name suggest assisting the consumers in every possible approach. The ideology behind this project is to provide legal assistance to consumers and build content of all the legislations and case laws which shall be accessed by everyone. To create awareness midst general public. This project aims to help people and also provide pro-bono services. With the help of this project we will try to reach out general public who need legal assistance and create awareness and reduce exploitation of consumers.
About the Webinar:
Nowadays, Consumer Protection has become more prominent. Similarly, the human rights have also become progressively prevalent. The substantive and procedural tests of human rights support the contention to broaden the definition of human rights by adding the consumer rights within its definition. In order to maintain human dignity in a consumer-oriented society, every consumer must be protected against big business organizations, monopolies, cartels, and multinational corporations. An individual's prosperity, honor, and dignity can oblige as the basis for recognizing consumer rights as human rights. This webinar helps provide insights about the inter connectedness and the inter relationship between the human rights and consumer rights.
About the Speaker:

UjjainiChatterji is an LLM graduate of International Human Rights Law. She has extensive practical experience in legal research, writing, drafting and advocacy. She has previously worked as a Law Officer at Human Rights Law Network, Mumbai and she is currently practicing Sr. Advocate Indira Jaising, New Delhi. She has publications in many reputed Journals and maintains a personal blog, titled, 'Lunatic Cacophony'.
