About the Conference:
The Centre for Regulatory Studies, Governance and Public Policy (CRSGPP) has taken a humble initiative towards achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through an extensive research project named 'Project: Carbon Mapping at WBNUJS'. This project aims to conduct a study on carbon sequestration & oxygen generation potential of common tree species in WBNUJS campus and some other identified areas for a comparative study. Carbon Emissions have become one of the major reasons for climate change around the world, prompting an incessant need to monitor, map and regulate carbon emissions.
As an extension of this project, the CRSGPP is organizing a 'Two-day International Conference' on 'Climate Change: Impact, Management Law and Policy Formulation'. Through the conference, CRSGPP aims to enlighten other institutions of taking up similar initiative towards monitoring of carbon mapping impact on environment. With valuable insights from Legislators, Executives and members of Judiciary, the seminar aims to highlight all the major ecological, legal and global concerns related to 'Carbon Mapping' through a comprehensive way.
Call for Papers:
The Seminar will invite presentations and papers from research scholars/post graduate students / academicians / professionals / scientists focusing on the following sub-themes:
Sub-themes:
- Sustainable Development: Technique in Controlling Carbon Emission
- Socio-economic impact of carbon footprint.
- International and National mechanisms in the mitigation of carbon footprint.
- Urban carbon mapping and institutional responsibilities.
- Climate Change Management and its impact on Policy.
- Green Technology and socio-economic viability.
- Relevance of Carbon Mapping in the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
- Constitutional perspectives in conserving nature vis-a-vis Carbon Mapping.
- Carbon Mapping and its importance in conserving the 'Rights of Nature'.
- Policies towards Smart cities
N.B: The themes referred above are not exhaustive.
Submission Guidelines:
- Abstracts of not more than 300 words, for original research papers on the above mentioned
- themes are invited, submitted as Word document, with a brief bio of 200 words along with one
- photograph.
- The full length research paper should be within 5000 words (including footnotes).
- Potential contributors are required to adhere to a uniform mode of citation (20th edition of The
- Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation is recommended).
- All abstracts/papers must be written in Times New Roman with font size 12.
Publication:
Full papers will be published, after peer-review in special issue edition of the 'NUJS Journal of Regulatory Studies' with ISSN: 2456-4605 (O). A few cutting edge research papers will also be published in a conference proceeding book published by Taylor and Francis.
