National Moot Court Competition, organized by School of Law, Christ University

The National Moot Court Competition will be held between 8th and 11th September, 2011.

Eligibility:
Law schools/colleges recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate in the School of Law, Christ University Moot Court Competition 2011. The participants should currently be pursuing their Bachelor's degree in law i.e., Three Year or Five Year LL.B courses.

Team Composition:
Each team shall comprise of three members, two Speakers and a Researcher.

Registration:
The Participating team shall duly fill the Registration Form provided along with the official rules and send it along with the Registration fees of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only). The Registration fees shall be sent through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Christ University payable at Bangalore.

The last date for submitting the registration form with fee shall be 28th August 2011.
Each team shall be allotted a Team Code on the receipt of registration fee and form. Spot registration will not be entertained.

The identity of the team shall not be disclosed. Any such disclosure shall lead to disqualification.

Structure of Rounds:
The oral rounds shall comprise of:
  1. Preliminary Rounds,
  2. Quarter-finals,
  3. Semi-finals and
  4. Final
Miscellaneous:
  • Scouting shall lead to the instant disqualification of the team.
  • In case of an odd number of teams, School of Law, Christ University shall constitute a team just for the preliminary rounds so as to prevent ex-parte proceedings in any Court.
  • Any clarifications on the moot problem may be sought from moot@law.christuniversity.in
  • All participants shall maintain the decorum in the Court during the competition and are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting the legal profession.
