Transport Offices (DTOs) located at each District HQ
to the issue of a driving licence(DL), the learner?s licence (LL) is issued. To
avail the learner's licence, one has to apply to the DTO in the prescribed
format (Form No 2), along with Medical Certificate-A-1,2(B), Age certificate, 2
passport-sized photographs, permanent and present address with proof such as
Election Card/Ration Card/I.D card issued by the concerned department or
telephone and electricity bill/PRC/Class-X passing certificate. The fee is also
to be submitted. A signal test is held before issuing of LL.
holding the Learners Licence for 6 months, he/she is eligible to apply for
effective driving licence using Form No. 4 and submit LL and fee. The class of
vehicle for which a DL is applied for should be brought for the driving test.
The driving test is conducted on every last working day of the month. After the
practical driving test, viva-voce on traffic signals and road safety is held.
