P. and Berar, the partially excluded areas in Orissa, the partially excluded areas in U.P. and the Darjeeling District by the various State Laws.

The Act has been extended to Goa, Daman and Diu, w.e.f. 1st. September, 1962, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, w.e.f. 1st. July, 1965 and to Lakshadweep, w.e.f. 1st. October, 1967.
