Co-Operative Societies Act 2008

25. Membership fees and membership register

1.     No person may exercise the rights of membership of a society unless and until he has paid the prescribed membership fee and has satisfied any other requirement which may be prescribed by the by-laws.

2.     A registered society shall keep a register of members in which shall be recorded—

a.     the names and addresses of members; and

b.    the date on which each member became a member and the date, if any, on which he ceased to be a member.
