National Seminar on Tribal Governance and Tribal Development in Globalized World: Issues & Challenges

Centre for Study & Research in Tribal Rights (CSRTR), National University of Study & Research in Law, Ranchi and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Jharkhand are jointly organizing the National Seminar on "Tribal Governance & Tribal Development in Globalized World: Issues & Challenges".

Date: 4th - 5th September, 2015

Call for Papers:
Papers are invited from the academicians, practitioners, researchers, scholars, activists, and Ph.D students on the issues related relevant areas of study. Abstracts would be reviewed by the organizing committee review group. It is also proposed that the selected papers by the Centre will be published in a special volume on the Seminar in the form of an edited book with ISBN.

    • Education among Tribals - Problems, Policy and Perspectives
    • Malnutrition & Health status among Tribals

  • Other Tribal related Issues
    • Customary Law; Rituals and Custom
    • Development of Tribal Language, Literature and Art
    • Role of Private Sector & NGOs and their impact in Tribal Areas
    • Public Space & Journalism in Tribal Areas

Procedure for Participation:
Interested participants are required to submit the abstract (not more than 500 words) by 30th July, 2015 to the email id: csrtribalrights@gmail.com. All abstract shall contain following information:

  • Name of the Author
  • Designation
  • Email id
  • Contact No.
  • Full corresponding address
  • Sub-themes under which they wish to present the paper

Guidelines for Paper Submission:
Shortlisted abstract's author will be requested to submit full paper. Paper should not be of more than 5000 words and must be accompanied by a brief profile of the author indicating his / her email ID, contact number and official address. It must be typed in Times New Roman Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1" margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word. A Uniform Style of Citation must be strictly adhered to while submitting the abstracts and full paper. All the abstracts and full length papers shall be sent on email id: csrtribalrights@gmail.com.

Registration:
After notification of acceptance for selected papers on our website or through E-mail, those willing to present their papers should submit their registration form along with their detailed travel plan. There is no registration fee whatsoever.

The Organizing Committee provides travelling allowances and hospitality including breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner (on the days of the seminar). Accommodation will be arranged by the committee for which prior information must be provided well in time in the format given in the Registration form.
