FICCI - World IP Day "Poster Making Competition" 2015

The World IP Day is commemorated on the date on which the convention establishing World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was originally entered into force in 1970. The objective of World IP Day is to raise awareness about intellectual property rights, to celebrate creativity and contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe and to encourage respect for IP rights.

Registration:

  • Registration for Conference on "IP as Frontline Tool for 'Make in India'" on 29th April, 2015
  • Participating in All India Facebook Poster Making Competition: 26th to 28th April, 2015

FICCI to commemorate the International World Intellectual Property Day on 26th April 2015 undertakes the task of awareness generation & sensitization towards importance & respect of Intellectual Property. This year FICCI introduces the "Poster Making Competition".

Rules of the Competition are as follows:-

  • The candidates must create a poster on the subject "Stand up for your music".
  • The Poster could be a painting, drawing, sketch, collage of pictures or combination of any 2 or all, but must not be copied. i.e. the painting, drawing, sketch, collage of pictures must be the work of the candidate.
  • The Poster must reflect the following Concept:-

"The music we enjoy today comes from the inspiration and hard work of thousands of creative people around the world - singers and songwriters; musicians and publishers; producers, arrangers, engineers and many others. Its breadth and variety results from an unprecedented accessibility to musical genres and styles - all at the tap of a screen - that brings us new hybrid forms almost daily.

And, the technologies through which we access music change almost as quickly - as do the business models that support them. Downloading or streaming, purchase or subscription, direct sale from creator to consumer - all options are on the table. But this constantly evolving industry is the also the most vulnerable and economically affected industry sector. So how do we protect and ensure the respect to the copyright of the author & owner of music in this digital age."
