1st National Youth Parliament Competition 2015

The National Youth Parliament Competition, 2015 is being organized by the School of Law, IMS Unison University, Dehradun.

Date: 1st & 2nd May, 2015

Issues:

Lok Sabha:

  • Abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India.
  • Censorship of Media in context of the ban on BBC Documentary.

Rajya Sabha:

  • Women's Reservation Bill [The Constitution (108th Constitutional Amendment)], 2008.
  • The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill, 2015.

All India Political Parties Meet:

  • Implementation of Uniform Civil Code
  • Indo-Pak diplomatic relations

Note: The issues mentioned are final and it is up to the discretion of the Chair or the Committee to decide which issue to be discussed in the respective houses.

Eligibility:
The Competition is open for students pursuing any Undergraduate or Post-graduate Courses from any recognized University/Institution in India, subject to fulfillment of the registration formalities.

Registration:
Registration to the Competition is open to 60 participants on the first-cum-first-serve basis. In order to confirm participation, every participant should register themselves. The registration process consists of the following two steps:

Each of the participant is required to fill the online form which can be accessed on our University's official website www.iuu.ac latest by 15th April, 2015 and also send the scanned copies of the Registration Form, Travel Plan and Demand Draft or the NEFT Transaction receipt at dean.sol@iuu.ac by 15th April, 2015. Subject of the mail should bear "Registration Form for IMS Unison University 1st National Youth Parliament Competition - 2015". The details for Demand Draft/NEFT transactions are given hereunder:

  • The Demand Draft shall be drawn in the favour of "IMS Unison University" payable at Dehradun.
  • Bank Account Detail for NEFT Transaction:
    • Bank: Oriental Bank of Commerce
    • Branch: Makkawala Greens, Dehradun

Send the hard copies of the Registration Form, Travel Plan and the Demand Draft/ NEFT Receipt till 20th April, 2015 to the following postal address:

Registration Fees:

  • Registration Fees for the interested participants are as under:
    • Rs. 1500/- for each participant (with Accommodation).
    • Rs. 1000/- for every participant (without Accommodation).

  • In case of justifiable reasons submitted by the participants, the Head-School of Law may permit spot Registration subject to payment of additional Registration charges upto Rs. 1000/- per participant.
  • Forms received after 20th April, 2015 shall not be considered for registration.

Hospitality:
Accommodation and Food for participants will be provided by the organizer.
