The iLaw Global Seminar on "International Law and its relevance today"

iLaw Global and myLaw.net are jointly organizing a free seminar on "International Law and its relevance today".

Date & Venue:

  • 24th January, 2015 at Mumbai
  • 25th January, 2015 at The Imperial, Janpath Lane, Connaught Place, New Delhi

About the Event:
Focusing on the widening ambit of International Law and its growing importance in India today, this seminar will be a discussion not only on the expanding intersection of international law and domestic law, but the way that legal education in the US is attempting to encompass and integrate its own law, international law, and the law of other national legal systems.

Given his expertise on the subject, Prof. Ken Randall will speak about the current cross-border transaction scenario in India and globally, and the need for lawyers to be aware of the legal framework that governs such matters.

From the billion-dollar multinational mergers and acquisitions deals which are on the rise in India, to the major international human rights issues such as the case of the Somali pirates and the Indian fishermen in Sri Lanka, international law has come to the forefront recently, and lawyers in this area are extremely busy. Prof. Randall will speak about such issues and the critical knowledge that lawyers need to gain to be able to take on such matters of global significance.

Agenda:
The tentative itinerary for the seminar in Delhi is given below. Please note that this itinerary may be changed if deemed necessary by the organisers.
