International Conference on Contemporary Debates in Public Policy and Management
With the changing role of the state, the design and landscape of public policies are changing. Contemporary public management too is intensely debated across academic disciplines, as they are in different countries.

Suggested topics include but not limited to:
The International Conference on Contemporary Debates in Public Policy and Management will focus on theoretical issues of public policy and management by embracing concepts of Politics and Policy, Public Sector Reform, Public Private Partnerships, and Law and Public Policy Regulations. There would be sectoral focus on health, education, infrastructure, urban and rural development, microfinance, and energy and environment. Keynote speakers from academia and practitioners will deliberate on contemporary public sector issues, and on the gap between policies and implementation.

Call for Papers:
The Conference invites papers from researchers and practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds across academics, business and the public sector. The conference also encourages researchers / practitioners to share their experiences through case studies.
Please send an extended abstract of one page with title and keywords of the paper/case by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by
12th November, 2012. Decisions on the abstract will be announced by the first week of December, and participants are required to register by 24th December, 2012. Final paper will be due on 7th January, 2013.
The registration fee for the conference is Rs 5,000. The registration will include cost of boarding and lodging at Tata Hall on IIM Calcutta campus for out-station participants.
