International Cooperation on Criminal Investigations related to Spurious Medicines in the Global Supply Chain
A roundtable is being organized by Partnership for Safe Medicines and FICCI is supporting the cause keeping in view the gravity of the menace of counterfeiting generally and especially in case of drugs, cosmetics and food products. The roundtable will share information on the procedural aspects and role of the investigating agencies, law enforcement agencies and the industry together to combat the issue of spurious medicines

Objectives of the Workshop:
- Share information on the cooperation on criminal investigations related to spurious medicines;
- Provide a global overview of spurious medicines criminal investigation and best practices
- Discuss cooperation of law enforcement, customs and industry and public-private partnerships related to spurious medicines and criminal investigations.
Anticipated workshop attendees include custom officials, law enforcement agencies, industry representatives, consumer organizations and representatives of detection technology vendors.
Workshop anticipated participation is as follows - Indian government law enforcement and customs officials, Indian industry and stakeholder representatives, international participants including speakers from the "Patient Safety and Drug Detection and Authentication Technology workshop"
