University of Allahabad - Admission for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M

Eligibility for LL.M:
The candidate must have obtained LL.B Degree from any University recognized by U.G.C. and the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks in the aggregate in the said class. However, the candidates who have appeared in LL.B III Year (LL.B. Final Year)) class are also eligible to apply and appear in the LL.M Admission Test. But such candidate must have passed and produce LL.B Final Year Mark sheets on or before the date of admission, failing which their claim to admission shall stand forfeited.

Entrance Test Guidelines:
The Admission Test shall comprise three parts each of 100 marks. The maximum marks of Test shall be 300 and of three hours duration. The paper of the Admission Test shall comprise:

  1. Constitutional Law of India,
  2. Jurisprudance,
  3. Law of Contract,
  4. Indian Penal Code,
  5. law of Torts,
  6. Hindu Law,
  7. Muslim Law,
  8. Public International Law and Human Right,
  9. Administrative Law,
  10. Transfer of Property Act.

Filling in the Online Application Form:
The candidate has to fill and submit the Form ONLINE, in accordance with the instructions mentioned.

Entrance Test Fee:
The candidate has to separately remit the prescribed Test Fees, for Rs. 600/- (Six hundred) in case of GEN and OBC candidate and Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) in case SC/ST and PH candidates by a Demand Draft (Bank Draft) of any national bank, drawn in favour of "FINANCE OFFICER, UNIVERSITY OF ALLAHABAD", payable at Allahabad. The candidate should cross the Demand Draft, and write his / her full Name, Father's Name and Application ID generated upon successful submission of the Online Registration Form, on the reverse (back) lower left-hand corner of the Demand Draft. The candidate should also get Photo-copies (Xerox) made of the two sides of the Demand Draft and keep them secure for his / her own reference and record.OR

The candidate has to separately remit the prescribed Test Fees, for Rs. 600/- (Six hundred) in case of GEN/OBC candidate and Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) in case SC/ST and PH candidates by CHALLAN downloaded from university web site www.auadmission.co.in. It should be noted that the Test Fees shall not be refunded or carried over in case the application of the candidate is rejected, or his/her candidature is rendered in fructuous or cancelled at any stage, or he / she does not appear wholly or partially for LL.M. Admission Test 2012.

Admission for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.):
The University of Allahabad shall hold an Entrance Test on 29th May, 2012 for selecting students for admission to its self-financing B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) (5 year Integrated Course).

Eligibility:
The Students who have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) at 10+2 or 11+1 or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Academic Council of University of Allahabad and the Bar Council of India, and General Category who are not more than 20 years of age and SC/ST and other backward classes who are not more than 22 years of age as on 1st July 2012, may be admitted to the BA LLB (Hons.) 5 year integrated Course. Students whose results are awaited may also apply, but their candidates shall stand cancelled if they do not qualify, or if their results are not declared, or if they fail to produce their marks sheet at the time of admission.

Application Form and Prospectus:
The Application Form and Prospectus will be available online and can also be obtained personally from the Pravesh Bhawan, University of Allahabad, Allahabad from March 24th, 2012 to April 25th, 2012 between 10:00 am and 04:00 p.m. on payment of Rs. 1200/- General/OBC (Rs. 600/- in case of SC/ST/PH in cash). Duly filled in Application Forms can be deposited Online or personally from March 24th, 2012 to April 25th, 2012 on the counters of the Pravesh Bhawan, Chatham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad on all working days between 10 a.m to 4 p.m. The Admit Card will be made available only Online from 8th May, 2012.

Online Form Submission Details:
Admission aspirants are required to have scanned copy of their photograph and their signature. These scanned copies of photo and signature and required to be uploaded during the online form submission. The specifications of the scanned copy of the photographs and the signature are provided in the online prospectus. All aspirants filling the online form are advised to read the instructions to fill up to the online form, which has all the pre-requisite and the guidelines to this regard. Upon successful submission of the form the candidates will be shown their Application ID and a password on the screen. If the candidates has provided their email ID in the online form then a registration email will also be sent to the candidate has provided their email ID in the online form then a registration email will also be sent to the candidate which have the Application ID and the password.

The candidates can use this Application ID and the Password to login to the website and view of print their forms and download their Admit Cards, when enabled. The form submitted online can be printed and reviewed by the Application ID and the Password and edit their forms and save them again. The Online Forms can be edited and saved for any corrections required within 3 days of the date of submission or the last date of online submission, whichever is earlier. After the editing period of the form is over then no corrections will be allowed and the candidates will be responsible for the data submitted by them.

Payment of Fees:
In case of online form submission mode of payment of fees is through Challan of State Bank of India or Bank Draft in favour of "Finance Officer, University of Allahabad" payable at Allahabad. Upon successful submission of the form the applicant can print the form by clicking on the Print Application Form button. The applicants details are printed on the 1st page and State Bank of India Pay-in-Slip is printed on the 2nd page.

The Challan is printed in triplicate with Student's copy. University copy and Bank copy, the account number of the University along with Application ID and Name is preprinted on the Challan. The applicant is required to visit his nearest State Bank of India branch and deposit the fees in cash by presenting the Challan at the State Bank of India counters. The original Challan i.e. "University Copy" and the Draft must be sent with the printout of the form to Director Admission, Pravesh Bhawan, Chatham Lines, University of Allahabad, and Allahabad
