Government Law Colleges in Kerala - Admission to Three Year LL.B Course 2010-11

The course shall consist of a regular course of study for a minimum period of three academic years. The last 6 months of the final year of the course shall include regular course of practical training. Admission to the course will be regulated on the basis of merit as assessed in the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE).

Eligibility for Admission:
Candidate should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin. Candidate seeking admission to the course should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. A candidate who has passed the Bachelor's Degree examination with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate (ie. 40% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examinations taken together) shall alone be eligible for admission to the 3 year LL.B course. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes need only a pass in the qualifying examination with 35% marks.
Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examination (regular examination of 2009-10 academic year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional / Degree certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of Centralised Allotment Process. There is no upper age limit for admission to the 3 year LL.B. Course.

The number of seats in the four Law Colleges is as shown below.
(i) Government Law College,Thiruvananthapuram 100
(ii) Government Law College, Ernakulam 100
(iii) Government Law College, Thrissur 100
(iv) Government Law College, Kozhikode 100

How and when to Apply:
There will be separate Application form for General and SC/ST candidates.The Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from the Official website of the Commissioner for entrance Examinations"cee-kerala.org." Application forms duly filled in together with the documents specified in clause 14 below, should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuaram 695001, before the time and date specified by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
