Banaras Hindu University - Notification for Entrance Tests/ Admissions-2010

The University Notifies for the sale of application forms and related information bulletin for admission to Undergraduate Courses (UET): Professional LL.B. and Postgraduate Courses (PET): LL.M, LL.M. in: Human Rights & Duties Education, Diploma and Certificate in Industrial and Intellectual Property Laws, Environmental Law Policy and Management in the Session 2010-2011.

LL.B. (Bachelor of Law):
Duration: (3 Years, Six-Semester)

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet. OR any other Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India for the purpose of admission to LL.B. Course securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years (aggregate being calculated as mentioned above).

The Candidate shall pay the Entrance Fee along with the Application Form for the amount mentioned hereunder through a crossed MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) Demand Draft/Banker's Cheque issued by any Nationalised/ Scheduled Bank, in favour of the "Controller of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University" payable at Varanasi. Candidates to note that only MICR Demand Draft/Banker's Cheque (issued by a Bank) shall be accepted.

LL.M. (Master of Law):
Duration: (2 Years : 4 Semesters)
Seats: 38
Eligibility Requirements:3-Year LL.B. after Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern or five years LL.B. under 10+2+5 pattern recognised by the Bar Council of India securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in LL. B. Degree.

LL.M. (Course in Human Rights & Duties Education):
Duration: 2-Year (4 Semesters)
Seats: 15 Fee: Rs.30, 000/- per annum

Minimum Eligibility Requirements: LL.B Three years (10+2+3+3) OR Five years (10+2+5) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from BCI recognized Institution. The Candidate shall pay the Entrance Test Fee along with the Application Form General: Rs. 500 SC/ST: Rs.200 The Banaras Hindu University shall conduct Postgraduate Entrance Tests, hereinafter called 'PET', during May 20, 2010 to June 09, 2010 for admission to various Postgraduate Courses as given hereunder for the Session 2010-2011.

Receipt of Postal Requisition for Forms : 26-02-2010,
Receipt of Completed Forms by hand or post (without late fee): 10-03-2010,
Receipt of Completed Forms by hand or post (with late fee) : 17-03-2010.

The test will be held at various Centres, provided there is sufficient number of candidates for the concerned centre. (Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata ,Chennai ,Hyderabad)
